This fully featured backpack is made for heavy loads. The earlier version was developed with input from Special Forces in Sweden and Norway. The pack was launched in 1998 after 3 year of heavy testing and has been used extensively by many since that time, so it is very well tested.

The biggest difference between this pack and the recon pack is that this one uses an durable anatomic T-fram and not the full Alu Frame. It makes the pack lighter and suitable for weights up to 27 kg, with heavier loads the recon Pack is the better option.

We use heavy duty nylon fabric in this product because it is the most durable and long lasting fabrics we know of. We use nylon from the brand ECONYL® which offers premium quality and 100% closed-loop regeneration and recycled nylon yarn derived from pre and post-consumer waste such as discarded fishing nets and other nylon waste (among others coming from Norway).

The main fabric is a durable 100% recycled ECONYL® 450D nylon (255 g/m2) with a 2000 mm waterproofness PU coating. The bottom is made in a heavy-duty 100% recycled 900D (329 g/m2) ECONYL® nylon with a 2000 mm PU coating – the most durable quality of our ECONYL® range . We use the synkron3 carrying system that is designed to carry heavy loads (up to 27 kg) over a period of time. The carrying system has two main parts. 1. The durable T-shaped alu frame, where the harness, bag and hip belt is attached and makes the pack very stable to carry heavy loads. It also has a quick height adjustment system that makes it easy to set the right height (range of this system is from below 170 cm to above 190 cm). 2. The flexible hip belt is attached to the mid alu frame at the point matching where the hips and spin meet. It has one central connection that allows the hip belt to follow the body’s hip rotation, the result is better balance and less use of energy for the user. These 2 parts create a carrying system which provides stability, balance and comfort even if the loads are very heavy.
